Training on Accessibility for Employees
Rapid Talent will provide training to all employees who interact directly with the public on its behalf, as well as those involved in developing the organization’s policies, practices, and procedures. This training will focus on delivering accessible services to individuals with disabilities.
Training will be included as part of Rapid Talent’s onboarding process for new employees and will also be provided on an ongoing basis, particularly when relevant policies, practices, or procedures are updated.
The training will specifically cover the following areas:
Policies and procedures related to the delivery of services to individuals with disabilities.
Effective interaction and communication techniques for engaging with individuals who have a range of visible and non-visible disabilities.
How to support individuals who use assistive devices or require the help of a guide dog, service animal, or support person.
Training Documentation
Rapid Talent will maintain detailed records of all accessibility training provided, in accordance with the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). These records will include:
The training content and protocol
The dates training sessions were conducted
The number of participants in each session
These records will be kept up to date and readily available for compliance and auditing purposes.
